[New Feature Update] Rate V2: How to Set Up a Package

Steps on how to set up a rate package

A package, or a rate package is a variation of a base rate that includes guest services. Multiple rate packages can exist in the same period as package serves as rate option alongside the base rate.

In this article, we will show you how to create, edit and delete a package.


How to Create a Package

Step 1: Navigate to Rate domain

  1. Log in to your Delta PMS account.

  2. Once logged in successfully, go to the side bar on your left screen

  3. On the side nav, navigate to Rates and Availability menu and select Rate Plan sub menu.

Step 2: Proceed to Rate creation or edit

  1. On the All Properties tab, select a property

  2. Select a room type.

  3. Click on New Rate button to create a new rate or select one of the rates that already exist in the Rate Plans list

Step 3: Create a package

  1. Click on the Package tab to create a new package.

    Note: Before creating a rate package, you should complete the Base Rate Price Configuration of the entire period.

  2. Click on the Create Package button.

  3. Fill in the Package Name and Package Display name.

  4. Select the Start Period and End Period.

  5. Fill in the Minimum Night Stay.

  6. Select the Service Type to add guest services.

  7. Click on the Add Service button to add a service.

  8. Select a service. The guest service options are based on the selected service unit that is set in the Guest Services menu.

  9. Click on Show Affected Price to view the package affected price.

    The rate calendar popup will appear. Affected prices will be marked bold, otherwise it will be greyed out.

    Note: The affected price is the calculated based on Base Rate + Package Service Price

  10. Click on Close to dismiss the popup.

  11. Check the Apply to All option if you want to set the package for all sales channels.

  12. Click Create Package.

The created package will have the same policy as the base rate of the first selected sales channel.


Editing and Deleting a Package

How to Edit a Package

Note : Any changes on the package will only take effect on bookings made after you save it.

To edit a package, simply click on the pencil icon on a package that you want to edit.

Edit the fields that you want to change.

Click on the Save button to save the changes.

How to Delete a Package

There are two ways to delete a package.

You can directly click on the trash icon on the row of the package you want to delete,

or you can click on the pencil icon to enter edit state, then scroll down and click on the Delete package button.


After creating a package, you can continue to create an add-on, modify the package policy on the Policies tab or proceed to create the rate if the rate is still in Draft status.
