How to Set Up an Add-On

Learn how to create, edit, and delete an add-on for a rate plan.

An add-on is an increase or deduction applied to the base rate for a specific period. It can be used to adjust prices for seasonal periods, such as holidays or peak seasons.


Before you start: Make sure a base rate has already been created before setting up an add-on.

What is an Add-On?

An add-on allows you to increase or decrease a base rate for a specific period. It is useful for adjusting rates during peak seasons, holidays, or promotional periods.

Example

Base Rate: ¥50,000
Add-on: +10%
Final Rate: ¥55,000

How to Create Add-On

Step 1: Navigate to Rate domain

  1. Log in to your Delta PMS account.

  2. Once logged in successfully, go to the side bar on your left screen

  3. On the side nav, navigate to Rates and Availability menu and select Rate Plan sub menu.

Step 2: Create or Edit a Rate

  1. On the All Properties tab, select a property.

  2. Select a room type.

  3. Click New Rate to create a new rate, or select an existing rate from the Rate Plans list.

Note: If you create a new rate, you need to input the base rate before creating an add-on.

Minimum Night Stay

The minimum number of nights required for the add-on to apply.

Maximum Night Stay

The maximum number of nights required. Leave blank/0 if there is no limit.

Add-on Type

Choose Increment to increase the rate or Deduction to decrease it.

Value Type

Choose Percentage or Amount.

Add-on Amount

Enter the percentage or fixed amount to add/deduct.

  1. Navigate to Add-On tab to create a new add-on.

  2. Click on the Create Add-On button. An add-on creation form will appear.

  3. Select the Add-on color, then input the Add-On name and Add-On Display Name fields. Fill in the Add-On description if needed.

  4. Select the Add-On Start period and End Period.

  5. Move to Add-on Configuration section, then fill in the Minimum Night Stay.

  6. Select an Add-on Type. There are three add-on types: Increment, Deduction and No Price Adjustment.

  7. No Price Adjustment option will allow user to keep the same base rate value with different price attributes like description, period, minimum night stay and maximum night stay.

  8. Select a Value Type. There are two value types: Percentage and Amount.

  9. Fill in the amount based on the selected value type.

  10. Both Value Type and Add-on Amount are disabled when No Price Adjustment option selected.

  11. Click Show Affected Price to preview how the add-on will affect your rates before saving.

  12. Check the Apply to All option if you want to apply the add-on to all sales channels.

  13. Click on the Create Add-On button once you have finished.

Select Apply to All if you want to apply the add-on to all selected sales channels.

The add-on will use the same policy as the base rate of the first selected sales channel.

Step 4 : How to Edit the Add-On

Note: Any changes on the add-on will only take effect on bookings made after you save it.

  1. To edit an add-on, simply click on the pencil icon on the add-on row.

  2. Edit the fields that you want to change.

  3. Click on the Save button to save the changes.

Step 5 : How to Delete the Add-On

There are two ways to delete an add-on.

You can directly click on the trash icon on the row of the add-on you want to delete,

or click on the pencil icon, then scroll down and click on the Delete add-on button.

A confirmation popup will appear. Click on the Delete button to proceed on deleting the add-on.

Step 6 : Apply to All option

Select the Apply to All button if you want the add-ons to be applied to all Sales Channels selected based on the Rate Information section.


After setting up the add-on, you can modify the add-on policy on the Policies tab, continue to create another add-on, edit the base rate and packages, or proceed to create the rate plan.
