Price Adjustment feature allows to modify base price based on variety conditions. Either offer discount based on certain number of nights stay or additional price based on the number of staying guest. In this article, we will explain on How to setup Price Adjustment by Number of Nights.

Price Adjustment by Number of Nights apply discount price based on number of the nights on the stay. The discount type of adjustment has two types which are based on Amount and Percentage.


How to Setup Price Adjustment by Number of Nights

Step 1: Navigate to Rate domain

  1. Log in to your Delta PMS account.

  2. Once logged in successfully, go to the side bar on your left screen

  3. Click on Rates & Availability menu and select Rate Plan on sub-menu

Step 2: Proceed to Rate creation or edit

  1. On the All Properties tab select one of the Properties

  2. Then select the Room Type of the selected property

  3. Click New Rate for new rate creation or select one of the rates that already exist

  4. Next one, on the Price Configuration settings of Base Rate scroll down to get the Price Adjustment settings

  5. Price Adjustment section will be enabled right after the base price set and saved. So, make sure the base price already saved first


  6. Next, click the set adjustment on the By number of nights section


  7. Once the adjustment menu opened, it will be shown the table of by night stay in empty state with Add Item button to add the discount rule. Furthermore, it also has Adjustment per period that used to set specific discount in certain period of time. Adjustment per period will be active when there is at least one price adjustment already set.


  8. Next if the Add item clicked, there will be rows shown with details:

    1. Night Stay
      Drop down menu that offer options for nights option:

      1. 1-999 nights option that has purpose to set exact number of nights

      2. 1-999 to 1-999 nights option that has purpose to set range number of nights

      3. More than 1-999 nights option that has purpose to set more than selected number of nights


    2. Discount Type
      Discount Type options provide two types; Amount and Percentage discount type.

    3. Discount Value
      If the Amount type addition selected, the Discount value will be shown in amount value based on the selected Currency. Meanwhile addition value will show percentage value from 0 until 100%, if the selected addition is Percentage type.


  9. If you have any different value for different period of time, you can utilise the Adjustment per period. Simply click the Add item button to add the rule for a period of time.*


    *)Note: Adjustment setting per period only applied for the booking that has stay period within the period that already arranged on the schedule.

  10. Once Add item item button clicked, there will be shown drop down menu on each field as shown below:

    1. Night Stay drop down menu will be shown the night stay options based on the nigh stay that already inputted previously

    2. Start Period and End Period date picker will be shown the available dates within the Start and End period of the base rate. These fields has several rules as shown below:

      1. Start date should be earlier than End date

      2. Start date and End date period cannot be overlapped with the same Number of guest

    3. Discount Type and Discount Value fields has same rule

  11. Once all the Adjustments set, you can click the Save adjustment button on your bottom-right of your screen to save all the changes or settings.

  12. Next if the Price Adjustment by number of nights already saved properly, it will be shown the setup including the Adjustment per period if any, like shown below:


  13. Price Adjustment feature also applied on the Package setup and edit with same rules.

    After filling all the required fields including policies and package or add-on if any, click Create rate to save and create the rate.
