When the dates of a reservation are changed, Airbnb cannot always update the price automatically.
This usually happens when:
The price on Airbnb is being controlled by PMS (API override), or
Airbnb cannot calculate the new rate based on the updated dates
In these situations, Airbnb may reject the request and show the message “Host unavailable.”
Please note that on Airbnb, only the host or the guest can change reservation dates.
PMS, channel managers, or extranets are not allowed to make these changes.
Airbnb will always treat this as a Reservation Change Request.
Here’s how to adjust the reservation:
Open Airbnb → go to “Trips” or “Reservations.”
Choose the reservation you want to update.
Click “Change reservation.”
Adjust the check-in/check-out dates, number of guests, or price (if needed).
Send the request.
The guest must approve the request within 24 hours.
If they don’t, the request will automatically expire and be cancelled.
