What is the Guest Service List?

The Guest Service List displays all guest services available in your property. It provides an overview of each service, including whether it is managed by Stock Management, its stock type, pricing, quantity settings, and booking availability.

Use this page to quickly identify which guest services are stock-managed and whether they share inventory across multiple properties.

What information is displayed in the Guest Service List?

Each row represents one Guest Service and displays the following information.

Column

Description

Guest Service Item

The name of the guest service.

Item Category

The category assigned to the guest service (e.g. Sports, Cleaning Service, Additional Bed).

Availability Type

Indicates whether the item is Stock Managed or Unlimited.

Stock Type

Shows whether the item is a Selling, Rental, or Unlimited item.

Price

The selling price of the guest service and its pricing unit (per booking, per guest, or per night).

Qty Type

Indicates whether the stock quantity is Independent or Shared across multiple properties.

Bookable

Indicates whether guests can currently book the service.

What is the difference between Independent and Shared quantity?

1. Independent

The stock quantity belongs only to the current property. Changes to the stock quantity affect only this property.

Example

Property A has:

  • 5 Baby Cribs

Property B has:

  • 8 Baby Cribs

Each property's inventory is managed separately.

2. Shared

Multiple properties use the same stock quantity. When stock is added, reserved, or distributed, the available quantity is updated for every property sharing that inventory.

Example

Three properties share 20 Baby Cribs.

If Property A reserves 5 Baby Cots, the remaining available quantity becomes 15 for all three properties.

What does the Bookable toggle mean?

The Bookable toggle indicates whether guests can purchase or reserve the guest service.

  • Enabled — Guests can book the service through supported booking channels.

  • Disabled — The service is hidden from booking platforms and cannot be selected by guests.

Depending on your stock configuration, the system may automatically make an item non-bookable when inventory is unavailable.

Things to know

  • Shared stock allows multiple properties to consume inventory from the same stock pool.

  • Selecting the shared quantity link only displays the list of participating properties—it does not allow you to edit them.

  • Independent stock is managed separately for each property.

  • A shared stock item cannot be deleted if it has booking history or is assigned to an active package.
