What is Stock Availability?
Stock Availability shows whether a Stock Item can still be reserved based on its current available quantity.
The availability of a Stock Item can affect:
Guest Service bookings
Packages that include the Stock Item
Availability shown across supported booking channels
Whether a booking or package can continue to be confirmed
Stock availability is updated based on the current stock condition and relevant bookings.
When does Stock Availability change?
Stock availability can change when:
Stock is manually increased.
Stock is manually decreased.
A confirmed booking reaches its service date.
A future confirmed booking reserves stock.
A rental item's service date has passed.
These changes are reflected in the Stock Management availability.
What happens when a Stock Item becomes Empty?
When the available quantity of a Stock Item reaches 0, the item is considered Empty.
If the Stock Item is included in a package, the package is updated to Not Available on supported platforms, including:
Delta PMS Manual Booking
Delta PMS Availability Page
Delta PMS Direct Booking
Connected OTAs
Delta Agent Portal Booking
This prevents guests from booking a package that includes an unavailable Stock Item.
What happens if I make a Stock Item Not Bookable?
When a Stock Item is changed to Not Bookable, packages containing that Stock Item are also updated to Not Available on supported booking channels.
This applies to:
Delta PMS Manual Booking
Delta PMS Availability Page
Delta PMS Direct Booking
Connected OTAs
Delta Agent Portal Booking
Important: A Stock Item becoming Not Bookable and a Stock Item becoming Empty are different conditions, but both can cause packages containing that item to become unavailable.
