What Is the Difference Between a Dynamic PIN and a Fixed PIN on RemoteLock ?

When setting up RemoteLock for a guest room, you can choose how the guest access PIN is managed:

Generate a New PIN for Each Stay

This option generates a unique PIN for each guest stay.

  • A new PIN is created for each reservation.

  • The PIN is stored automatically in the booking.

  • The guest receives the PIN through the Self Check-In process.

  • The PIN is intended for that specific guest stay.

  • This is the default and recommended option for guest rooms.

This option helps ensure that each guest receives a different access code.

Use a Fixed PIN

This option uses the same PIN for every guest.

  • The host sets the PIN manually when configuring the room.

  • The same PIN is reused for future guests.

  • The PIN is not automatically changed by Delta PMS.

  • Previous guests may continue to have access until the host manually changes the PIN.

This option can be useful when the host wants to keep the same access code for the room.

Can I change the PIN mode later?

Yes. You can edit the guest room's Self Check-In configuration and change between the dynamic PIN and fixed PIN options.
