Keeping your additional services up-to-date and correctly categorized is crucial for providing a seamless experience for your guests. Follow the steps outlined below to edit the item category of a specific item within the guest services section in PMS.
Step 1: Navigate to Guest Services.
Log in to your PMS account.
Go to the Dashboard.
On the left side of your screen, locate the sidebar. Click on the "Rates and Availability" menu.
Select the "Guest Services" submenu. This will take you to the list of guest services.
Step 2: Go Over a Specific Item to Edit
Find the item you want to edit in the Guest Services list.
Step 3: In Action Column of That Specific Item, Click Pencil Icon
Locate the Action column for the item you want to edit.
Click on the Pencil icon (Edit button) in the Action column. This will open the Edit Item dialog.
Step 4: Change Item Category to Something Else
In the Edit Item dialog, find the Item Category dropdown menu.
Select a new category for the item from the list provided.
Step 5: Click Save Changes Button
After changing the item category, click the "Save Changes" button to save your modifications.
Step 6: Ensure the Item is Successfully Edited
Snackbar Notification: After editing, a snackbar message saying "Item has been updated" should appear, confirming that the changes were successfully saved.
Updated Item Category in List: After saving the changes, you should see the updated item category in the Guest Services list. Verify that the new category is correctly displayed
