How to Delete a Category with No Items Attached in Guest Services

This guide will walk you through the steps to delete such a category in the Guest Services section

Sometimes, you may need to delete a category with no items attached. Follow the steps outlined below, you can easily remove unused categories and keep your list relevant and up-to-date.

Step 1: Navigate to Categories List Page

  1. Log in to your PMS account.

  2. Go to the Dashboard.

  3. On the left side of your screen, locate the sidebar. Click on the "Rates" menu.

  4. Select the "Guest Services" submenu. This will take you to the list of guest services available.

  5. In the list guest services page, choose the "Categories" bar on the right of the Item List bar.

Step 2: Go Over a Specific Category to Delete

  1. In the Categories List page, locate the category you want to delete.

Step 3: In Action Column of That Specific Category, Click Trash Icon

  1. Locate the Action column for the category you want to delete.

  2. Click on the Trash icon (Delete button) in the Action column.

Step 4: Click Delete Button in Delete Category Popup Confirmation

  1. A confirmation popup will appear. Click the "Delete" button to confirm the deletion.

Step 5: Ensure the Category Has Been Successfully Deleted

  • Snackbar Notification: After deleting, a snackbar message saying "Category has been deleted" should appear, confirming that the category was successfully removed.

  • The selected category should be removed from the Categories List page: After confirming the deletion, the selected category should no longer appear in the Categories list. Verify that the category has been removed.
