How to Edit a Category in Guest Services in PMS

Editing categories in the guest services section of PMS helps keep your service offerings organized and up-to-date.

Step 1: Navigate to Categories List Page

  1. Log in to your PMS account.

  2. Go to the Dashboard.

  3. On the left side of your screen, locate the sidebar. Click on the "Rates and Availability" menu.

  4. Select the "Guest Services" submenu. This will take you to the list of guest services available.

  5. In the list guest services page, choose the "Categories" bar on the right of the Item List bar.

Step 2: Go Over a Specific Category to Edit

  1. In the Categories List page, locate the category you want to edit.

Step 3: In Action Column of That Specific Category, Click Pencil Icon

  1. Locate the Action column for the category you want to edit.

  2. Click on the Pencil icon (Edit button) in the Action column. This will open the Edit Category dialog.

Step 4: Change Category Name to Something Else

  1. A form will appear allowing you to edit the details. Enter the new category name.

Step 5: Click Save Changes Button

  1. After changing the category name, click the "Save Changes" button to update the category name

Step 6: Ensure the Category is Successfully Edited

  • Snackbar Notification: After editing, a snackbar message saying "Changes have been saved" should appear, confirming that the changes were successfully saved.

  • Updated Category Name in List: After saving the changes, you should see the updated category name in the Categories List. Verify that the new category name is correctly displayed
