The Guest Service Category is a classification that organizes different types of guest services available within the system. Making it easier for you as the host to manage offerings and for guests to find what they need. These categories are reflected in the guest services List.
Step 1 : How to Open Guest Service Categories
Go to the sidebar menu on the left side.
Select Rates and Availability > Guest Services > Categories.
On the Categories tab you will see a table with these details.
No.: the numbered order of the guest service category
Category: the name of category.
Shows In: shows the portal(s) where the guest service category will appear.
Actions:
Edit: to edit the guest service category.
Delete: to delete the guest service category
Step 2 : How to Add New Category in Guest Service
Open the Categories tab.
Click “+ Add category”.
Fill the Category Name and select the portal where Guest Service will appear. You can select multiple portals.
Click "Add."
Step 3 : How to Edit the Guest Service Category
Click Categories Tab.
Select the guest service category you want to edit by clicking the pencil icon.
You can change the guest service category name and check or uncheck the portal where the service will be shown.
Click “Save Changes” to save the edited guest service category.
If you want to cancel the action, click “Cancel”.
After you click “Save Changes”, your edited guest service category will appear in the Guest Services Categories tab, Guest Service tab in Booking Details, and in several portals (Manual Booking, Direct Booking portal, and Guest Portal).
Step 4 : How to Delete Guest Service Category
Open the Categories tab.
Select the guest service category to be deleted and click the trash icon.
If the guest service category is not assigned to any booking, the category will be deleted without any confirmation popup after clicking the trash icon.
If the guest service category is assigned to any existing booking, the Delete Category confirmation popup will appear.
Click “Confirm” if you want to proceed deleting the category. If you want to cancel the action, click “Cancel”.
After deleting the guest service category, it will disappear from the Guest Services Categories tab, Guest Service tab in Booking Details, and in several portals (Manual Booking, Direct Booking portal, and Guest Portal).
